England, the hosts of the next World Cup, have confirmed their participation for this year’s edition in Cambodia from August 20-25.
Also confirming their participation is Canada, the sole representative from Pan America till date.
England and Scotland are the first two European nations to confirm their participation at the World Cup Kabaddi.
Both countries are expected to feature their top stars, who are currently playing at the ongoing British Kabaddi League.
As for Canada, they are expected to send the same team that would feature at the International Kabaddi Championships they are hosting for the first time in July.
The entry of the three teams will add more lustre to the World Cup Kabaddi in Cambodia.
The World Cup has already attracted a record five nations from Africa and from top Asian teams. Arch-rivals India and Pakistan will be playing at a major global championship for the first time ever.
Hosts Cambodia will also feature at the World Cup for the first time with the support of the Ministry of Interior Sports Council.
