The opening matches of the Beach Kabaddi World Cup will feature Tanzania taking on Afghanistan and the United States of America squaring off against Hungary.
The men’s competition will open accounts for the prestigious tournament scheduled to be held from 23 – 28 September 2025.
The opening ceremony has been scheduled for the 23rd late evening after the conclusion of the weight checks and team managers’ meetings.
Both the opening matched will be played simultaneously as two pitches are being used for the five day competition, that will see a record 19 men and 12 women teams participating.
Hosts Malaysia will open accounts in the women’s category taking on China while their men will play against Azerbaijan.
Favourites India will take on the Netherlands in the women’s on the opening day while the men will play their opening match the following day against Nepal.
