A meeting was held with the Ministry of Tourism to explore ways to promote the World Cup Kabaddi as a sports tourism event in Cambodia. The discussion was also held to seek the support of the Ministry of Tourism.

The meeting was chaired by Mr Sok Vanna, the Director of Entertainment and Sports Tourism Department of the Ministry of Tourism Cambodia. In attendance was World Kabaddi secretary general S.T. Arasu, the president of Cambodia Kabaddi Federation (CKF) H.E. Dr Chin Samnang, CKF council member Dr Mov Piseth as well as Raymond Goh of Infinity Sport Co. Ltd.

The year 2024 has been declared as Visit Cambodia 2024, the World Cup Kabaddi is an ideal sports tourism product to promote the Kingdom.

Cambodia boasts of a myriad of tourism sports including the iconic Angkor Wat in Siem Reap, whichis an UNESCO World Heritage Site and the pristine beaches and snorkeling spots in Sihanoukville and surrounding islands. Other tourist spots include:

The World Cup has already attracted teams including from India, Pakistan, Egypt, Hong Kong. Approximately 16 countries are expected to participate at the prestigious tournament.
